Enhanced cross-coupling reaction between indole and furfural catalyzed by a manganese-organic framework as a recyclable catalyst.
A manganese-organic framework (MOF) as a recyclable catalyst has been prepared through the self-assembly of Mn(2+) ions and polymeric ligands (diamines). Its properties have been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, and its adsorption properties have been studied by the adsorption isotherms, FTIR and gas adsorption techniques. The ability of MOF as a catalyst in a cross-coupling reaction has been investigated for the first time. Excellent recyclability and high catalytic activity have been observed. The catalyst can be reused up to 6 times with 99.5% recovery, and the corresponding turnover frequency (TOF) increases from 1.17 to 1.67 h(-1) with the increase in reaction temperature from 50 °C to 110 °C, which shows that the catalyst is highly active and stable.Pediatric Brain Tumor Peer Support Group
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Peer Support Group (PBTSG) is a program of the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center designed for children and teens with a brain tumor or brain cancer. PBTSG fosters a supportive, non-medical community of like-minded families to help and encourage each other throughout the cancer experience.
All components of this program are free of charge and will be coordinated by Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center-trained professionals.
For more information or to enroll in the program, please call the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center at (617) 632-3388.
Special Note for Families with Young Children
The PBTSG program is particularly designed for children under the age of 8 years old. In cases where a child has a disability that makes it difficult to complete the program, the program can be adapted and modified by the PBTSG staff to meet the needs of the family. The
